Exhibitor Tutorials and Events at SLAS2015

SLAS2015 affords exhibitors the ability to connect with customers and prospects both on the exhibition floor and through hosted events held in conjunction with the conference and exhibition. A complete schedule of exhibitor tutorials and events will be posted in November 2014.

Note that all events or activities planned by exhibiting companies must be pre-approved by SLAS.

The following event opportunities exist for exhibiting companies in Washington, DC:

Exhibitor Tutorials ($1,500, $2,000 or $3,250)

Exhibitor tutorials are an important part of the SLAS2015 program and a great way to connect with SLAS2015 attendees. These sessions are held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and space is booked directly through SLAS. Fees below do not include food/beverage. Once space is confirmed food/beverage orders can be arranged with the facility directly.

The tutorial fee includes a basic audio visual package: LCD Projector, Screen, Podium Microphone. Any additional audio visual requirements will be the responsibility of the exhibitor.

Exhibitor tutorials are available in 45-minute ($1,500) or 75-minute ($2,000) or NEW 120-minute ($3,250) time slots. It is recommended exhibitors provide refreshments for participants as part of their tutorial and include this information as part of the tutorial description.

Tutorial Descriptions and Schedule

Tutorial descriptions will be listed in the online event scheduler prior to the conference, and in the SLAS2015 Conference App on-site. In order to be included in the Event Scheduler, exhibitor tutorial applications and descriptions must be received by October 24, 2014. Any application and or description received after October 24, 2014, will be promoted in the SLAS2015 Conference App only (based on availability and acceptance).

Meeting Space Requests at SLAS2015 Official Hotels

Note that all events or activities planned by exhibiting companies must be pre-approved by SLAS. To receive approval, please contact Amy McGorry via email at amcgorry@slas.org.

SLAS has allocated blocks of time within the SLAS2015 program where exhibitors may book meeting space for internal or public events so as not to conflict with official conference events or programming as noted in the exhibitor contract. All meeting space at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and both official conference hotels is controlled by SLAS during the official event dates and SLAS may choose to release space to exhibitors based on availability.

Please note: Meeting rooms at the Walter E Washington Convention Center are not available. Please see the new offer of Exhibition Floor meeting rooms if you are interested in space at the Convention Center.

Note that fees for the space may apply as well as additional fees for AV and food and beverage, which will be arranged by the exhibitor with the venue directly.

Meeting Space on Exhibition Floor ($5,000)

SLAS is offering exhibitors the opportunity to rent a meeting room on the exhibition floor. These rooms are available for exclusive rental for the entire duration of the exhibition open hours (Sunday, February 8 – Tuesday, February 10, 2015). There are limited rooms available and reservations are confirmed based on first come, first served. Please note the following:

Co-Located Meetings

With 5,000 expected participants, SLAS2015 is a great venue to co-locate your company's user group meeting, sales team meetings or other special events. And, SLAS can help!

In working with SLAS, exhibiting companies can leverage existing contracts and vendors already employed by SLAS for the SLAS2015 conference and exhibition. In addition, SLAS can assist in managing logistical operations; develop the agenda; hotel reservations; registration; and more. Your co-located event may be listed on the SLAS2015 conference website with a basic template giving information such as a brief description, date and location as well as a link to your company's website.

In order to comply with the exhibition rules and regulations, SLAS2015 exhibitors are required to host these meetings on the Saturday or Sunday prior to the conference (February 7-8), or the Thursday following the official conference dates (February 12). Evening or early morning time slots during the conference week may also be available but must be approved by SLAS.
